Trivia: Movies: Academy Award

The most famous Oscar to children is Oscar the Grouch, the one that I like the best is Oscar Madison and the one everyone in Hollywood knows is just plain Oscar. No one really can say where the name came from, for the Academy Award, but the story that has been around the longest is that when Margaret Herrick, a librarian at the Academy saw the statue, she commented on how it looked like her Uncle Oscar.

Every year one person gets an Oscar for Best Actor and one gets him for Best Actress, except for one time when, in each category, it was a tie. For Best Actor in 1932 it was a tie between Fredrick March for "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" for which he played the Dr. and the Mr. and with Wallace Beery for "The Champ", for which he played the Champ. I would have to say that if it came down to only picking one winner, it should go to Wallace for a couple of reasons. One, the fact that he is "The Champ and the other reason is that it just wasn't really fair, after all, it was two against one. The trivia today is which two actresses tied, in 1968 for Best Actress that year?
